I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since I was last in Kyoto. I finally got around to making a quick trip out to one of my favorite cities. It definitely made me miss my study abroad friends and our days of gallivanting around beautiful areas. It’s amazing how much you can remember and forget after 5 years.
Yaaay Kyoto! But before we got too excited, we needed to take care of some important things…like filling our incredibly empty stomachs. Made a pit stop at a restaurant right near Inari station. Had to order some inari since I was in Inari. And man, was it delicious.
Now onto one of my absolute favorite places in Kyoto, Fushimi Inari Taisha.
Unfortunately, it gets dark pretty early now, so by the time we were done going through Fushimi Inari, we were losing a lot of light. We decided to try and hit Kiyomizu Temple anyway. Luck was on our side because the temples are doing a special night viewing for the fall…starting the day we were there!
I’m hoping to hit up Kyoto again many more times in the future…
