Hong Kong

September 7, 2013

Before I headed back home, I decided I needed to take advantage of being in the Far East and see more than just the “Land of the Rising Sun.” I’m a little embarrassed to say that besides Japan, I had never been to another foreign country (well, I guess I apparently went to Mexico when I was really little…but I don’t remember it at all, so it doesn’t count.).

So here’s a bit from my little excursion to Hong Kong. Highlights: finding a bug in my boba drink and luckily not swallowing it, hitting my shin really hard on some metal moving cart left on the side of the road, bargaining for sweatshop-made imitation goods, seeing the incredible skyline in typhoon weather and getting yelled at a lot in Chinese.
