Goodbye, David

November 11, 2011

David’s last day at KIMA was today. It was definitely emotional for me, even though all this time, I had been in denial that he was actually leaving. He probably doesn’t know, but I couldn’t stop crying before the 6pm show. The tears really came out of nowhere. Took me a bit to pull myself back together.

Took these photos to create a framed picture collage to give to him as small appreciation of all he’s done for the station. I wanted to give him something heartfelt that captured bits and pieces of KIMA and his legacy. My friend Jon helped me do the layout. We framed it with a mat that I had everyone at the station sign. It turned out really neat.

An excerpt from something I wrote to a friend about David:

“I can’t even begin describe my admiration for his incredible talent and abilities and his inspirational personality. He really did go above and beyond for KIMA.”

Thanks, Klugh, for being the best anchor/assistant news director a producer could ever ask for.

Goodbye, David
