Jackie was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications: Broadcast Journalism in April of 2009. While at BYU, she was a major contributor to the BYU Daily News at Noon, the college's daily live newscast airing on PBS. She has been the executive producer, director, producer, reporter, editor, photographer, and graphic artist and has dedicated countless hours to the show. Jackie completed her internship at KUTV, the CBS affiliate in Salt Lake City, where she worked directly with producers to write stories for their shows.

She currently works for KIMA-TV in Yakima, Wash., as the producer for the 5 and 6pm newscasts.
